Administration Hub Diagram Not Showing Connections to All Servers

asked one day ago

I know based on the release notes that the Administration Hub Diagram page doesn't do very well for larger amounts of servers, but I thought I would post this anyway. We have 4 SQL servers (2 dev, 2 prod) and 2 of them do not show any connection arrows when you first go to the Diagram page. If I click on one of the databases, the arrows show. Kind of weird issue, but wanted to make sure someone was aware.

Hi,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention! We’re aware that the Administration Hub Diagram page can have limitations when displaying connections in environments with a larger number of servers, which is often related to node card and connection rendering constraints.

By default, the diagram shows Server-level connections, and when you click on a database or application, it displays the Application-level connections related to that databse/applciation. So the second behavior you described is expected.

To help us improve this feature, could you please share the number of Application Servers in your environment? We’ll use this information to simulate similar scenarios during development and work on optimizing the diagram page.

We appreciate your feedback and support!

We have 35 application servers, including the SQL servers.

Thank you! We will try using this data to conduct simulation tests.
