Laserfiche Scanning

Hi,


So I downloaded LfWebScan120.exe and installed it on a computer.
 

When the user clicks the Scan icon, the Scanning Mode prompt

Shows for one second and then disappears. The Don't ask me again is not checked.

I've tried doing a complete reinstall, rebooting and cleared all the cache from the browser. 

It still continues to appear for one second and then disappear. It will open up Laserfiche Scanning app, but not allow you to choose Basic or Standard. 

In addition, it times out when the user clicks Done. I have tried to go into the Options and uncheck Perform Timeout Check. I want to confirm this has to be checked each time you start the app. Currently, that is the case for us.


Any help would be great!

Hi,
Currently, I have not been able to reproduce the issue. Could you please provide the following information?

  1.  Current WebTools Agent version installed.
  2. Check if WebTools Agent is running properly: can verify this under Options → Advanced in the Web Client.
  3. Reproduce the issue and collect logs:
    • Go to Options → Advanced.
    • Change Tracing to Debug mode, then click Start.
    • Reproduce the problem, then click End under Tracing.
    1. Reference ID generated after stopping Tracing.
    2. Scanning Logs: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Laserfiche\Laserfiche Scanning\Logs
    3. WebTools Agent Logs: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Laserfiche\Webtools Agent\Logs

Additionally, you can try the following checking:

  • Check Task Manager for any stuck LFScan.exe processes. If found, end them.
  • Uninstall Laserfiche Scanning and WebTools Agent, then reinstall using LfWebScan120.exe.

Hi!!

Thank you for providing those steps. A second reinstall seemed to resolve the issue. 

BTW, when you check on the Don't ask me again, that gets saved here, in the Options->Reset

I reset it and got the prompt to stay.
