Question

Dynamic List Filtering Bug on Desktop Client?

asked on November 13

Hello - were looking to upgrade from version 11 (11.0.2103.223) to version 12 (12.0.2510.972), however during our testing we have found a bug with the dynamic fields not filtering correctly. Below is a screenshot showing the difference between the two versions - has anyone else seen this issue?

We have had a few users report that the LF 12 (Fall Release) Desktop Client does not treat dynamic fields the same way as it does in v11, so I'm assuming there are still some bugs to address.

Yeah - shame there seems to be a few bugs with this release which is stopping us upgrading the desktop client to V12 for the business.

Hi Jesse,

The issue does not appear though if you keep a PC on version 11 of the desktop client connected to a server version 12?

Jacob,

Correct, if we use a LF 11 Client connecting to LF Server 12, the issue is not there.

Given the number of issues/bugs we've discovered with the LF12 desktop client, and more importantly there is ZERO functional difference to the LF11 client, we haven't upgraded anyone to the LF12 desktop client yet and have no plans to.

We have done the same so far. We have upgraded it on our servers and test environment so we can continue testing and reporting issues we find, but we don't believe it is stable enough to roll out to our end users.

Thank you both for sharing issues you've run into. In addition to filing the bugs reported, we'll be revisiting our own testing of the LF12 Desktop Client to see if there are other issues that need to be addressed.

I apologize that you've run into enough issues to make you hesitant to upgrade. Please do keep reporting any issues you encounter -- your input so far has been very helpful.
