Hello,

How do I set up in the process that an email should be sent if a box is checked?

The easiest way is to use an exclusive gateway and have a branch/condition where if the checkbox is checked, it will send the email.

I believe one of those has to be marked as a default or it will suspend. Craigs formulas are both correct, it will just depend on which one you want to default. This one is pretty simple so either should be fine to check the "this is the default outflow path".
