Question

Multiple SAML providers in Laserfiche Cloud

asked on September 24

Hi All,

Can you have multiple Azure SAML providers linked to the same cloud account? I can't see any way of adding additional ones in the configuration?

Cheers!

Chris

Thanks for the details, Chris. We already have this tracked internally on our backlog as "Feature 594558: Consider support for multiple SSO / Federated Identity Providers". There's currently no specific timeline / target for that, but we've added your use case note to the feature item.

Is this just not possible?

Laserfiche Cloud accounts (currently) only support integrating with one SAML identity provider at a time.

What's your use case for integrating with multiple SAML providers? Having details on the use cases can help drive prioritization.

Hey Sam,

Thanks for chiming in. So the customer who requested this has different offices around the globe and is frequently acquiring other businesses, which they'll onboard into Laserfiche in a piecemeal fashion. They're also in the middle of a domain migration for over 3000 users, so having the ability to have 2 or more simultaneous providers linked to the same Laserfiche account (as they can do with their current self hosted LF system) is a must have requirement for them to move to LF cloud across the group.

It's not something that we've ever been asked before, as we don't have any larger multi jurisdictional customers using LF cloud yet, so it's not something I've ever really looked as a side-by-side comparison of self-hosted vs cloud.

Not sure how much of a deal it would be to add this into LF cloud, but ultimately I guess this stands as a feature request at this point.

Happy to discuss any of the specifics directly, you have my email smiley

Cheers!

Chris
