How do I insert a User Task link into Workflow email notifications in Laserfiche Cloud?

posted on September 21

Hi everyone,

I’m building a process in Laserfiche Cloud where a Workflow sends email notifications to participants based on rows in a form collection.

I’d like each participant to receive an email with a direct link to their User Task form. I can see the User Task ID (e.g., b345009a-ede6-4ce8-942f-c98e53abd54b), but I’m not sure how to format the link properly or if I should be using a built-in token instead.

Questions:

  1. Is there a standard User Task Link token I can drop into the Workflow Send Email activity that will generate the correct link?

  2. Do I need to manually construct the URL using my tenant domain and the task ID, or does Laserfiche handle that automatically?

  3. What’s the best practice if I want to include both desktop and mobile task links in the same email?

Any examples, screenshots, or best practices would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

In the BP, when you call the Workflow, have an input field to receive the Task link, and then in the Process Variables choose User Task(s), and under User Task the last variable is the Task Link itself.
