Document Preview not Working Correctly

asked on September 2 Show version history

On initial login to the desktop client, clicking on a document will not display the image in the document pre-viewer pan.  The image button is unchecked, and you can not check it. If you close the document preview and reopen or click another document preview button, like text or metadata, it will then show the preview of the image.  It will continue to work until your next login, and then you will have to repeat the same process again.

Hi Brian, I tried on my end, and the document preview works. To better identify the issue, could you please provide more details?

  1. On initial login to the desktop client, clicking on a document will not display the image in the document pre-viewer pan.

What type of document you selected? Before applying any workaround, did this issue occur with all document types or only specific ones?
If possible, would you mind taking a screenshot when the image does not display, and then another screenshot when the image displays correctly?

When a document preview button is the only one selected, it cannot be unchecked—at least one pane must remain selected. This is the current design of the preview pane. It seems that after you click another button, the Image button becomes editable again. Is that the behavior you’re seeing?
