Question

Error Saving to List Field Cache Quota Exceeded Failed to execute When Updating Fields

asked on August 28

Hello,

I am working with a user who is encountering the error below when updating template fields for a new document.

There is only one user this error is occuring for.  This is Laserfiche 11, Web Client.  Her attributes were deleted in Admin Console (as a troubleshooting step) but the error still occurs.

If she keeps clicking the ok button when the message comes up she can eventually upload the document.  This is happening intermittently, and not every time she uploads.

Disk space on the Repo and DB servers seems to be fine.

Hoping someone out there has some ideas.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Web Access stores temporary information in the browser local storage, and for this user the 5MB size limit is being hit. Try clearing the browser local storage, instructions for chrome can be found here: https://developer.chrome.com/docs/devtools/storage/localstorage

Thanks Robert!

We did go through the process of clearing the browser local storage for the web client site in Edge.  It appeared to resolve the issue.  We did not get time to confirm the solution (over days of use) as the user decided to use Chrome (going forward) and did not experience the problem in Chrome.  Wanted to post a follow up.

Thanks for your earlier response!
