I have a contract template and need to add a field that will help trigger the retention schedule or renewal of contract. Does anyone have an idea or template fields to share?
Are you wanting something to calculate the renewal date or have workflow do something such as sending a renewal form when the date is the current date?
Would the workflow renewal form go to the department or would it come to me as administrator to handle?
That is up to you on how want the workflow setup. You could have it calculate the renewal date and at it to the form when its originally filed and then have a WF run a search on the repository to find any that meet the renewal date and then invoke a business process to have them complete a new one. It really depends on what your overall goal is and if the renewal date means they need to complete a new form. If you want a review step then you could have it send an email with all the links to the forms that are up for renewal and send that to yourself or an admin. You could add a flag to the form in the repository or build a business process to push to the employee.
