I have started using Smart Field on specific templates as needed with different customers. I was originally told in a Solution Provider Open Forum meeting that these smart fields will run when you either assign and click extract values, or if you assign the template in workflow.
Is it expected behavior that anytime you assign the template the extract values will run even if you don't click the button?
This would extract values on specific document my client never planned on run smart fields with. If smart fields run and doesn't find the fields, does it still count against the client for running?
