Web Access Copy Text Pop-Up

asked on August 18

Is there any way to turn off this Copy Text dialog? I have the plugin installed so it does automatically put the text into the clipboard, but it still shows this dialog with a Copy button. I'd like to get rid of the pop-up, which would make the experience a lot more user friendly. Thanks.

It's because you're copying from the image pane it has to match it up with text layer. If you copy from the text pane, it won't show it. You can just select text and ctrl+V or use the browser's context menu to copy.

Hey @████████ you have any cool tricks for this?

You could potentially use a web client Custom Action to auto-close or otherwise suppress the Copy Text modal. Not something I've tried/tested. If something isn't controllable via user attribute, Custom Actions are the main/only supported mechanism available to you to modify Repository Web Client behavior.

Hey Sam-

Circling back to this. We were testing custom JS on the back end, which works, but there are concerns about ongoing administration as Web Access gets updated. Is there an updated help file for this or anywhere that discusses how to interact with pop-ups/dialogs? I can't seem to find it in the v12 documentation or Answers.

Updated help files for Repository Web Client Custom Actions?

Hi Sam-

Yes, I was asking about updated documentation. I ended up getting some things working by poking around at some logic I already have and then using the developer console and CoPilot.

But the reason I asked is because I'm not a fan of the v11 documentation and just find it confusing. The UI has boxes for Command and Enable Script but the help files talk about modifying CustomActions.xml and CustomTools.xml.

I tried searching for Custom Actions in the v12 help files. There's no way to limit just to the Web Client, unfortunately, and none of the 100+ results seemed relevant (though to be honest I only skimmed the title/description of the first dozen or so). And I can't find any info on it in Aspire.

I passed this along to our docs team.
