Question

When Applying Redactions - Is there a way to print a redacted and unredacted version of the same document?

asked on August 7

Our users have asked that for an entry in which annotated redactions have been made, if there is a way to export/download a version of that same document in which redactions are applied, and then a version in which redactions are not applied?

The reasoning is that for certain cases in which a printed version of this entry is needed for individuals who cannot see HIPAA, but we also will need to print that same documents for individuals who can see that data. Instead of allowing our users to create a copy (which can cause some issues with document merging on our repository) is there a way to negate annotations as needed for exportation of images?

The printing of annotations, including redactions, is controlled by the options menu for the user.  The same user can print/export either way.  Just remember that LF will remember the last options you used.

Also, instead of downloading you can print with redactions to a PDF.
