Excel compare changes function with LF Cloud

Hi,

What is the expected behaviour when it comes to comparing changes between versions of an Excel document in LF Cloud. When attempting to compare changes it states "Version comparison for Excel spreadsheets is only supported with Office 2013 and later". I've recreated this across our own cloud and it has been reported by a user also.

The matter with comparing changes between versions of Excel documents is being looked into. We'll update this thread when more information is available.

Just to add to this, you get the same error on self hosted systems using the web client after clicking the compare changes button:-

 

Laserfiche Repository Web Client - 12 (12.0.2504.741)

Laserfiche Repository Access - 11.1.2503.595

 

The hyperlink option is greyed out in the desktop client:-

Compared to a word document

 

So it looks like this may just be a web client issue, and the desktop handles this correctly.
