Send emails to group members in Workflow

Good morning,

 

I am working on a workflow to remind us when contracts are due for review/renewal. This is a fairly simple process but I am running into a snag when it comes to sending the reminder emails. I want to be able to set up the workflow to send the reminder to members of a group, that way if we have personnel changes we can just update the group members and not have to update every workflow they are a part of. Is there any way to do this? We are currently using AD sign in. I would also be interested in something similar for Forms as well.

Do you have distribution groups in AD?  you can use the email address of the distribution group in your workflow.  That way the group membership is managed in AD.

I do this by scripting a scheduled task that queries AD for LF assignment groups and stores member properties (including name, Sam, email, etc.) in a SQL lookup table. I can then query that table from any workflow or form.

I am not very familiar with scripting, would we need the SDK to do this? Would you be willing to send me the script you are using?
