Forms solution template Download Files

asked on July 18 Show version history

While on my PC in the Forms design menu, I choose to "1. Download Files" of a forms process.

I get the error that I cannot reach the page.

Hmmm… can't reach this page
It looks like the webpage at https://servername.fqdn/Forms/handlers/BPLFileDownloader.ashx?url=15817%2FFiles%2FSpecial_Events_Application-Repository_Briefcase.lfb&name=Special%20Events%20Application&mode=0 might be having issues, or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE

From the Web Server, I am able to download the briefcase file without issue.

Have anyone else experienced this issue?

Which version of Forms do you use? There used to be a similiar bug in 10.4.1 (#181402) if you access solution template in offline mode.

If you are on later version of Forms, can you try modify the URL and change mode=0 to mode=-1 and see if download works?

Laserfiche Forms 11.0.2311.50564 is currently installed.

I tried changing the mode from 0 to 1, unfortunately the same resulting message.

We cannot reproduce the issue on 11 Update 5. It might be related with your PC settings.

Can you please open a support ticket for troubleshooting?

Besides, did you try with mode -1 or mode 1? mode -1 is for offline download but mode 1 is not.

I had tried mode 1, which you pointed out is incorrect.

I just tried -1 and that works.

Do you know, is there a configuration file in FORMs that I can update this mode setting?

I'm afraid there is no such configuration.

It seemed that your client machine can access solution template data but your Forms server could not. Can you check if you can access https://d2egutv1ooq4p2.cloudfront.net/bpl.json on your servers?

It's better to configure your Forms server to allow access to the above url.

Our servers are blocked from internet access.  I will inquire about getting it unblocked.

In the meantime, -1 works and we will proceed with that.

Thank you for helping to solve this issue.
