Hi Melissa,
First, welcome to Answers =)
The Laserfiche Microsoft Office Integration is specifically a set of Office "add-ins" that interact with the Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications to provide that "Open from/Save to Laserfiche" and other functionality. That integration doesn't and can't interact with any Adobe products.
There isn't an equivalent integration for various Adobe suite products, and one isn't planned. Microsoft provides a convenient add-in/extension architecture for the desktop Office applications (which nearly everyone uses), and even then, building that integration took us a great deal of time and effort to bring up to our standards.
To make changes to an Adobe Frame (.fm or .book) file stored in Laserfiche:
- Open it locally, which downloads the file to your computer, then tells Windows to open it in its registered native application (Framemaker)
- Make your changes in Framemaker
- Save the file locally on your computer
- Import the updated file into Laserfiche, and either overwrite the existing (now old) file, or add it as a file new version (if you have versioning enabled)
Hope that helps clarify the expected behavior and how to get your updated Frame files back into Laserfiche.
-Sam
