Feature Request: Forms Working Hours and Timer based Tasks

asked one day ago

It would be really useful in Forms when a task has a timer based event you have the option to select within business hours. When you have a approval step that will reassign to another user after a period of time, if previous user did not action within the time frame for approval. If we could set the business hours ie 9am-5pm (Mon-Fri) so that the timer event would only take time off based on the working hours not outside of those it would enhance the End User Experience, and make Laserfiche a more viable option for more time based processes. I know that this is a feature in Workflow Admin Console, but not in Forms :(

Use Case: A Task needs to be approved by a manager within 6 hours or it needs to be reassigned to the assistant manager/Alternate Approver, however the task was created at 4.30pm Friday so using the current feature the timer event is triggered Friday @ 10.30pm at night, so the Manager only had 30mins 'work' time to complete the task, when in reality, it would be Monday 2.30pm. This task has been reassigned to the alternate approver who is now overdue by some considerable time, as their event needs to be completed within 6 hours, their task was assigned at 10.30pm and is due to be completed on Saturday morning at 2.30am which we all know is not acceptable.

This would be really beneficial to Forms, and i'm more than sure we are not the only ones who have encountered the same feature not being present with Users expecting this as a feature. (We have On Prem V12)

There is already backlog item for this feature request (#517734).

I have linked your post on the item, thanks.

I know with backlog items on feature requests there is no guaranteed timescale, but is this realistically something which will be released in the July Release? or Jan 26 release? or Laserfiche 13?
