Hi there!

We're a Laserfiche on-prem shop, currently on v11, and we're just beginning a transition from on-prem Eden to Enterprise ERP (Munis) cloud by Tyler Technologies. We have a number of SQL lookups in our repository metadata, Forms, and Workflow processes, mainly to retrieve contract, financial, and personnel data from our ERP to populate fields and validate data entry. Ultimately we're hoping to retain this functionality when we transition to ERP cloud, but we're not sure of what approach to take. Has anyone successfully made this transition and is willing to share their experiences?

An example use case, we have a Laserfiche Form that employees can use to request an alternate work schedule (ex. four ten-hour days a week instead of five eight-hour days, adjusted start time, etc.). They enter their username, which performs a lookup to our Eden database to identify the employee's supervisor, and then the form assigns a task to the supervisor to review the employee's schedule request before it is routed to payroll and others for review and processing. We have a SQL Server data source configured in the Forms Administration settings and lookup rules built into the form to pass the employee's username into a stored procedure, and it returns the supervisor's username.
