Question

Can Retrieval Users Forward Documents to Others

asked on June 1 Show version history

Hello,

Trust everyone is fine. PLease I need help on this one.

I created a workflow that allow users to route documents to individual folders in the repository. The USer who wants to forward a document, opens it, then in the assignee field ( a field in the template created for this), he selects a name to receive the document and a shortcut of that document is sent to the assignee folder.

My challenge is that the assignee field is disabled when a retrieval license user tries to perform this action even though he has all access permissions to that field? Can anyone please help or shed some light on this?

Is it that a retrieval license user is unable to route or forward documents or even move a document within the repository?

Thanks for your help

I believe they would need a Named User License in order to change metadata in the repository.  I believe the retrieval license is Read-Only and only used for viewing.
