I am importing a large number of the same document, that need to have a field Roll_number. I made a capture profile to pull it off of the document (PDF) and then this workflow to pull it and input it into a field. Using capture profile fields to extract a roll number and put it into a template

Since you're using PDFs, my first question is: did you generate pages (and text) for these documents?
Capture Profiles do not automatically generate text for you and do not automatically generate Laserfiche pages for PDFs (except when creating a sample document in the Capture Profile Designer).
Also, can you elaborate on what you mean by "not working"? Are you getting an error? Is the token always blank?
Thank you for your reply. The token is always blank. Could you point me towards a resource on how you generate pages for these documents? That would likely be the error.
If you can easily select the set of documents, you can do it manually in the web client from this menu:
When new documents are imported, you should generate pages on import.
If you have a lot of documents in your repository that need pages generated, you may need to use Quick Fields or one of our other batch processing tools.
Also, there may be other solutions I've forgotten about (or never knew about)--the Laserfiche repository isn't my area of expertise.
