Question

Laserfiche Windows Client 12

asked on April 22

Hello,

Does anyone know if the Windows Client 12 has been released, or when it's planned to be released? I have installed the installer software and don't see it listed on there.

Thank you!

It's appears in the notes for the Spring Release here:

  • Laserfiche Repository Desktop Client (12.0.2504.527)

That already happened. It can be installed using the new Laserfiche Installer. It is now called "Laserfiche Repository Desktop Client", so it's possible you simply missed it.

Here is a video that walks through the new installer: New Laserfiche 12 Installer Review - YouTube

I am not so sure the help files though have been updated appropriately to match the new install method since they still reference the 10.4 Client install and the old way of doing the installation (not via the new Laserfiche Installer).

Correct but those instructions appear to be outdated. If you go to the section of that link you provided about installing the Repository Desktop Client (shown in my screenshot) you will see it still references the 10.4 client.  These actual instructions in the official Laserfiche 12 help files (not the video) appear to have been copied from old install instructions and not yet updated to match the new method using the Laserfiche Installer.

You should re-read this exact link because it is not what you were reading, and your replies don't apply to it.

Thanks, Beau, we'll fix the docs. Kevin is right though, the instructions on the link he provided are the correct ones.
