Question

LFDS Lockout Audit

asked on April 21

I am troubleshooting some error reports accessing forms, and I think the users are getting locked out in LFDS. I pulled up the audit logs, but I can't see an Event Type that corresponds to account lockout.

Does anyone know a way to determine when account lockout has occurred? These users are Forms Participant users, and will never access anything other than their assigned forms.

Hi, Geoffrey,

In case you are looking at Audit Trail Reporting Site, currently LFDS has not integrated with Audit Trail. So for troubleshooting LFDS user lockout, the audit report is on LFDS configuration site rather than Audit Trail Reporting Site.

For many lockout scenarios, there is no audit event directly indicating the lockout. The scenarios include but not limited to password expiration and too many failed login attempts. For password expiration, you may check audit event type "User - Set Claim" (claim "http://laserfiche.com/identity/claims/passwordttl") and "Database - Configure Password Policy". For too many failed login attempts, you can check audit event type "Sign-in".
