Forms Team Filter - Assign Task to Non-Team Member

I have a customer who would like us to assign a task to a Forms Team Member with a specific Role. However if that Role is empty, then assign it to their Laserfiche Administrator's account. The issue is though, they do not want their Laserfiche Administrator to be a member of the team. Is there a way to use the Team Filters to lookup an account that is not in the team and then assign the task to that non-team member account?

Team filter result has to be member inside the team so you would not be able to achieve this using team filters.

In your use case, would it be possible to route to a backup user task using gateways?

Unfortunately not but we will make it work. It would be nice for the "Team Filter" to just be "Assignment Filter" and then open it up to JS logic beyond just teams. Let it be used to look up any user or team in Forms and then follow the logic we need.

Thus our choices for assignment of a task would be:

User
Team
Assignment Filter
