Question

Laserfiche 12 (On-Prem) Weblink search string

asked on April 14

Hi,

We have files saved in Laserfiche that contain a hyphen/dash in their name, if I browse to the weblink path with the hyphen in the name, it doesn't return any results.

Example URl: https://portalwebsite.com/WebLinkPortal/search.aspx?dbid=0&searchcommand={LF:Name~=EX25-1}

I've tried to encode the URL but the hyphen doesn't get encoded.

If I remove the hyphen from the file name and search string, it finds the file.

Is it possible to get this working with the hyphen in the name?

Thanks,

Steve

Have you tried putting the search string in quotes, "EX25-1"

Your search is missing the double quotes around the entry name value.  The below should work for you.

https://portalwebsite.com/WebLinkPortal/search.aspx?dbid=0&searchcommand={LF:Name~="EX25-1"}

Thank you both for your assistance, don't know why I didn't think of that.
