Question

Question

How can i make a section read-only based on the step ID

asked on April 3

I have a forms process that currently has multiple versions of the same form, the only difference is that each form has a different section that is read-only. I would like to have one form and utilize java script to make certain sections read-only at certain steps in the process.

I would appreciate any help you can provide!

Thank you

The feature is there since Forms 11 Update 3. What is your current Forms version?

I'm not sure what version you're on/if this applies to all versions, but on Cloud, using the Modern Designer, this can be accomplished using field rules.

Thank you, I'm not on cloud and my only rule options are show and hide.

The advanced field rule options are available on on-prem Forms if you use the new form designer.

If you still use classic form designer, on the fill form page there is a hidden input field with name "stepid" so you could see which step you are currently on.
