FAQ's​

How does storage work?​

• Storage space will be split across repositories and the total Cloud storage limit will remain, with additional storage available for purchase​

• Can I use workflows or process automation?​

  • You can use process automation individually for each repository, but not across repositories​

• Is there federated search?​

  • Not at this time. Searches will only be able to conducted on one repository at a time​

• As a Customer how do I create a second or third repository​

  • Additional repositories can be requested through your Solution Provider, who can file a request on your behalf with a Laserfiche Form​

• How do self-hosted Customers migrate one of their multiple repositories to a Cloud repository?​

  • Self-hosted customers can migrate repositories to Cloud using the Repository Export Client (REC) and Repository Import Monitor (RIM) tools. Before migrating, the Cloud account must contain repositories that will be used as the targets for the REC tool to import into from self-hosted Laserfiche.​

• What if I am a Trial customer? Do they need to purchase additional repositories?​

  • Trial/Demo Accounts are not eligible for multiple repositories. A Trial account must be converted to paid account at a higher tier, and trial account data cannot be moved to production until the account conversion is completed. ​

Multi-Repo Pricing & Packaging

Requirements for Requesting Additional Repositories:​

• Starter, Demo and Trial accounts are not eligible for adding additional repositories.

• Business Tier customers are eligible to request two additional repositories, beyond their single initial repository at no cost, for a total of 3 repositories.

• Professional Tier and Site Licenses are eligible for additional repositories, and can purchase a la carte.

• Additional repositories beyond three (if eligible) can be purchased at $7,000 / €7,000 retail annually. Please speak to your Solution Provider.​

• A single eligible account cannot exceed 25 repositories.

Request Process Overview​

• Speak to your Solution Provider if you are eligible for additional repositories, and have them request on your behalf.

• Once an additional repository has been provided, an account admin will need to assign access rights to users and groups for the new repository before it is accessible to users. Users will need to re-login before the repository is accessible.​
