Office Integration repeatedly requesting login credentials

Hello,

I've been having an issue when updating Word or Excel files that are already in my repository (using Web Client). I sometimes update a few docs in a row and when I go to the LF tab in the Office ribbon and choose to save, it repeatedly asks for login credentials. It's very inconvenient and causes lots of time loss. A customer just made the same complain to us. In their case, they're trying to attach a LF doc to an Outlook email draft. The customer uses Desktop Client but mentioned they also logged into Web Client to see if it would fix the issue, but it didn't.

Is there any way to only login once per day?

We are looking into this and expect to push an update possibly by the end of the week. We'll provide an updated when published.

Few questions: Are you using cloud? Are you switching between different cloud accounts? What version of Office Integration are you using (from Office ribbon - help - about)?

Yes, both myself and the customer are using Cloud. I do sign into a bunch of other Cloud accounts throughout the day, but the customer doesn't. They actually just migrated from On-prem to Cloud last month. LF Office Int version is 11.0.2405.628

Yes, we just published a new version with the fix that can be downloaded from the KB linked above (thanks Chris). Alternatively, sometime in the next 24 hours, Laserfiche Cloud - Web Client will prompt users that a new version of Laserfiche Office Integration is available for download.

Please provide feedback after installing the new version. Thanks!

We are using self-hosted here and do have the latest version of the office integration installed and are having the same issue - lots of needing to re-authenticate.

In our instance, it happens more with saving new docs to the repository as well as attaching files from the repository to emails in outlook - as an example, just now I tested saving a new Word doc to our repository using the LF ribbon button. First time I clicked "save as new document", got a credential validation pop-up, and exited the pop-up after using windows auth to validate my credentials. When I clicked "save as new document" again, I got another credential pop-up. Sometimes the pop-up will not require credential input (ex it will pop-up and then in 2s, disappear, leaving the repository folder tree) but it happens every time I've gone to perform the action so far and can cause incremental delays which quickly add up to make everyday processes much slower than they should be.

I have applied the fix on my local instance.  In my testing, I get prompted for my Laserfiche credentials once per day.  Can this setting be extended to a longer period of time? Where is this setting stored?  Registry? Cookie?

Sessions to Laserfiche Cloud expire after 12 hours. They cannot be extended past that limit.
