Document Manager in Scanning Stops Adding MV Template Fields After 20 Iterations

I have a template that allows users to enter account numbers into a multi-value text field for our assessment documents. The Document Manager allows up to 20 instances of this field, but will stop generating new fields after the 20th. Users report that sometimes they need more than that. Is there a way to increase the amount of fields that it can generate? See below for example:

You might need to help us with a little more information. I'm not sure how to duplicate the situation of not being able to add more than 20 values to a multi-value metadata field.

The template for this includes a Text field that allows for multiple values. When you select the template in the Document Manager in Scanning, it starts with a single field. As soon as a value is entered into the field, it generates a new empty field to put an additional value into. This can be repeated until the 20th instance, at which point no new field is generated.

What are the exact steps that lead to the problem? Are you using Laserfiche Online or self-hosted? Are you using Basic Mode scanning or Standard Mode? Are you using Windows client or are you accessing the repository through the browser?

Self-hosted, Standard Scanning, Windows Client.

I select the template that contains the Multi-Value field. I enter a value into the field. As soon as a character is entered into the Multi-Value field, a new blank field appears for me to enter new information. I am able to do this until the 20th instance, at which point no new blank field appears.

Incidentally, this field is used in multiple other templates, each of which seems to have different variations on how many times this process is able to repeat before no new blank fields appear. As far as I can tell, there is no setting within the field or any of the associated templates setting a maximum number of values. Hopefully this helps.

I'm puzzled. I wasn't able to duplicate the problem. You may wish to experiment with other workstations, other Laserfiche installations, etc.

I'm at a loss myself. This occurs on multiple workstations too.

 

Interestingly, other templates also include multi-value text fields that seem to be able to generate without limit.

Please contact your reseller and open a case with Laserfiche Tech Support and attach the template as a briefcase.

I'm not seeing it in the latest version of Scanning. Like Timothy said above, maybe you can give us more details on what version is used and the steps you or the scanner operator are taking to add fields?
