Is the ability to "impersonate a user" on the roadmap for a later enhancement of LF12?

asked on March 17 Show version history

We use AD for our user authentication. This being the case, as an admin, it is impossible to truly impersonate a user to see what they would see as they would see it without having their user id / password, which our policy is to never share. I frequently use the "effective rights" tab in the web client to verify what folders/documents users can see and what rights they have. This can be painstaking process when a new repository is being set up with lots of differing roles. It would be fantastic for an admin to have the ability to see the repository, and Forms, for that matter, exactly as the user does. If this is not an upcoming feature, I'd like to request it as an enhancement.

I have a test AD account that I use for this.  To impersonate a user, I assign it all the LF security groups that user has.

Having one or more test user accounts like this is our recommended approach. A user impersonation feature is not on the roadmap.
