Question

Search Form - within folder

asked on February 25

I am just learning to use Weblink and Weblink Designer. I have made a Search form that will be listed on the home page, but I need to limit the search that the form executes.

I currently have a field called Bylaw Category on the search form. When the category is selected, it should look in the Public Information folder. Right now, it is looking to everything with that field in the repository.

I figure it is the Custom area in the Search query, but I am not sure of the format. I have searched answers and the help files but can't seem to get it to work.

FYI, I am searching through shortcuts. Is that an issue too?

Please help.

Thanks.

It's not clear what your actual goal is here. It sounds like you want to limit your search to within a certain folder. That is simple to do. I'm not sure what else you are attempting to accomplish.

{LF:Lookin="Path", Subfolders=Y/N}

Ok. I actually had done that, but it didn't appear to work. I just edited it to search a different folder and it did. I think the issue must be the shortcuts.

Thank you for the link to the documentation. I looked for something like that, but was using the wrong keywords.
