I have a user who logs into a third-party party website to access documents stored in Laserfiche. When the user clicks on an icon to open a document, the Laserfiche Web Application opens up but the document doesn't display. My user would rather click on the document icon and have the Laserfiche Client Application open up to display the document. Is there a way to configure this?

Answer
LF Windows Client entry shortcuts use the .LFE extension. This describes how you can create them as long as you have the information necessary:
Considering this is coming from a third-party website, the third party would likely be the ones who would have to develop a way to generate the .LFE file and make it available to their users as an alternative to opening the entry in the web client.

Thank-you for that answer! Unfortunately, I'm a little hesitant to reach out to our third party just because they're a little tough to work with. I do have a follow up question. I have some users who are able to click on an attachment from said third party website and the document opens up in the Laserfiche Web Application. I also have one user who will click on the attachment link and the Laserfiche Web Application opens up with no results despite the fact that the document is in fact in our repository. Is this another issue where I have to reach out to the 3rd party or is this something I can address on my own?
