Hi all, maybe this is a small enhancement request...

To "at" someone in Answers, I have to use the double-quote - " - key because. I assume it's because I'm on a UK mapped keyboard and that's the symbol above the 2 key, where the @ key is on the US keyboards. Was this design intentional?

On the US keyboards, where is the key that you use?

On US keyboards, the "@" is above the 2.

I wasn't on the team that chose this, but using @+username as a mention is a natural choice, given that it's been popularized by Twitter and Instagram (and I'm sure others). The roots probably go back to web forums.

Hi Brian, yep that's my point. But rather than trigger an at with @, I have to use ".  I figured triggering a mention would be based on the ASCII code, not the keyboard placement.

Code specifically checks for Shift+2.  blush

Kinda surprised nobody complained so far. We'll look into fixing it. Reference ID # 573875.
