How to create a workflow to auto generate a report

Hi Everyone,

 

How can I set up an automated process in Laserfiche Workflow to extract data from Metada, or generate reports based on specific criteria of the Metadata?

What are the best practices for creating workflows that handle these tasks efficiently, and what tools within Laserfiche Workflow should I use to streamline the process?

I have a bunch of workflow processes that generate emailed reports with a table format in the email.  These are mostly from database queries, but you could just as easily do the same thing from the metadata on a series of documents returned from a search.

Regardless of where you are getting the data (from a Forms table, a database query, or a repository search), the example is still useful for showing how to create a formatted table within the emailed report.

Hi Matthew,

This process you created is to email the generated result of your forms report.

I'm looking for a process that generate the metadata value and export it as an excel file.

Also the result, I want to upload it to PowerBI.

You have integration with PowerBI?
