Question

How Pass data from one Table field to another Table field on the same process?

asked on January 13 Show version history

First of all, Happy New Year 2025 to all Laserfiche lovers!

Friends, I am in the middle of a process in Laserfiche Form (New Form Designer UI) where in a Table field I collect the days of the week with their opening and closing hours of operations of a business, so far so good.

This process has several phases of information exchange between the institution and the client where more information would be required based on whether the process is approved in the phase that runs until the end.

I have designed all the forms that need to be exchanged separated by Tabs, and I show or hide them depending on the phase that needs to be reviewed or filled out.

In one of the Tabs I need to place again the information that I collect at the beginning of the process of the table of opening and closing hours, that is, to be able to show a copy of the table but that also has the same information as the first one, so that the client does not have to type it again in that step.

Is there any way to transfer information from one table to another in the same process dynamically or in another way?

I'll leave some screenshots from the first table, the second one where I need to pass the data is the same as that one with different variable names.

Thank you very much in advance for any help you can provide.

Hi Angela, after having almost done everything related to the process I was working on with this problem, the managers decided to modify the entire form at the last minute based on new updates of the new forms that will be used in 2025, and it will no longer be necessary to duplicate this Operating Schedule table, it will be used only once. So on this occasion, I will not need it, hopefully, it can be useful to someone else who is looking for this same solution.
I really appreciate your help. Thank you very much.

Isn't it fun when that happens :)

You can bet it, after spending almost a whole month working on a super complex process with integrations of multiple forms, external SQL databases, among many other Workflow actions, they asked to tear everything down and now I have to start everything from scratch with the new version of the form for 2025. But hey, that's the way things are, they're part of our daily lives. laugh
