LF12 App Picker

How To Web Client Version 12

Hi All, 

 

In the LF12 gold training material, it outlines an app picker option in the Laserfiche web client, I have upgraded our system to LF12 and don't see this option.

 

Does this have to be enabled somewhere?

With how the App Picker configuration is currently implemented, LFDS Authentication is required for the App Picker configuration option to appear. The reason for this is because the App Picker is intended to allow users to easily navigate between the different Laserfiche web applications and this works best when SSO is configured.

In the Web Client configuration site, under the "Services" section, enable Laserfiche Directory Server and save the change. Then you'll see the "App Picker" section.

Similarly, in the FormsConfig site, under the "User Authentication" section, you need to use LFDS Authentication. Then you'll see the "App Picker" section.

Chris,

Yes, there are two places to configure the App Picker. For the Web Client you need to go to the Web Client Configuration (not Administration) page. Then in the left navigation select App Picker.

It can also be configured in Laserfiche Forms. For Forms it is configured in the FormsConfig page.

Sorry, where on the web access config page?

 

 

I also can't find it anywhere in the forms config either, do you have any screenshots of where you're seeing these options?

Chris, it should just be an option under the Diagnostics item on the left. In FormsConfig it shows as an option under Advanced Options.

I'm not sure why it isn't showing in yours. I checked and our versions match.
