Question

Cloud Remote Agent Encryption

asked on December 11, 2024

Is the traffic between the cloud repository and the remote agent machine encrypted in any capacity? I'm not able to find confirmation one way or the other.

The use case is a workaround to not being able to base64 encode within the cloud environment, so sensitive client data needs to use remote agent for that to happen based on other posts on Answers.

Yes. Remote Agents communicate with Laserfiche Cloud exclusively over HTTPS. All data in-transit between them is encrypted with TLS 1.2+. Consider this statement official confirmation.

This is true in general, not just for Remote Agent. I believe every data connection into Laserfiche Cloud uses and requires https.
