I have a workflow on my Laserfiche cloud account that routes documents into a particular folder, the folder is assigned a security tag which the user who will start the process has, but whenever the process runs, it creates a new folder instead of moving the documents to the routed entry folder

I would start by confirming your move entry configuration:

If the destination folder already exists, and has a security tag applied to it, I'd make sure the ProcessAutomationUser has the security tag applied, as well. If this happens every time, it's possible that the ProcessAutomationUser can't see the destination folder and when it goes to create it, it has to put the (2) on the end to duplicate it instead of actually use it.
