"Root Element Missing" when opening quickfields for first time every day.

I have a user who will open Quickfields to start scanning documents. 

 

On the first opening of Quickfields for the day the user will get the error "root element missing", the error does not reappear until the next day, 

 

There are no issues so far with with the scanning sessions, but wanted to see what we can do to repair this error, or if it will cause issues in the future.

Hi Christian,

This error message shows that certain xml file is empty, or content format is wrong. But it's not clear which xml cause this issue. To help find the cause of the issue, can you tell us exactly when the issue happens after opening QF. Does this issue happen before the Start Page dialog show up or after the Start Page dialog show up. Or maybe issue happen after clicking on session file?

Another thing is that if error log under C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\Quick Fields\Errors has new error written around the time issue happens.  The error could be related to your issue. If there is error there, could you also post it?
