Hello,

Software: LF11 - On Premise - Web Interface.

Once of our users is experiencing odd permissions behaviour.

Can someone explain what this phrase "This right does not apply to this entry type"

In the web interface it looks like so...

In the desktop client it gives a bit more information:

However I cannot see anywhere where I can give this user / group access to Create Documents and Folders.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Apologies all.

I believe I have resolved this - the settings for creating a file or folder can obviously NOT be allocated to a file! Rather, they are only applicable to folders.

Hi Richard,

The selected entry in your screenshot appears to be a PDF document entry. You cannot create documents or folders within a document entry, so those rights do not apply to the entry type. You can only create documents or folders within folders. Grant trustees (users or groups) Create Documents and Create Folders permissions on a folder (which can be the repository root folder).
