Hi Chuck, please visit the Upgrade Resources section of laserfiche.com/lf12 to find the Installation Guide for System Administrators.

Also, the Forms package was updated, so be sure to grab the latest installation package assuming you downloaded it before 10AM Pacific on 11/7/2024.

Regarding your install:

  • It isn't required to upgrade LFDS first
     
  • You should upgrade Laserfiche Server prior to any "client" applications (web clien, Forms, Workflow, etc.)
     
  • Visit the Installation Guide on our LF12 page for answers to the additional questions you have regarding installation

I suggest renewing your primary license in LFDS prior to upgrading as well, since, if you haven't renewed recently, your licenses will still show a version limit of 11 instead of 12 in LFDS. This version limit will cause an error when attempting to install a version 12 component that requires LFDS registration.

Where is the Administration guide? Do I need to refresh my version 11 LFDS to show 12 as the max version or must the LFDS be upgraded first?  It looks like the new  Admin Hub Agent will need to be installed on each server and the admin hub is then client tool but there are no instructions for this. I have downloaded the  iso but all the links seem to go to the user guide.

If you have downloaded a Laserfiche 12 installation package before 10AM PST on 11/7/2024, the Forms package is now updated, please re-download it and continue your installation.
