Question

How to bypass trustee attribute not found when importing into the repository

asked on November 4, 2024

I am importing a large folder into the repository and I am getting this error

When I click OK, it brings up this window

I don't know what to change and if I click OK it tries to import the file again and throws the error

I can open the file in windows. I need to get the rest of the files in at the very least, how do I continue the import for the rest of the files and skip this file for now?

I can recall seeing this when doing a very large import but not sure what the resolution was I'm afraid, if there was one. What type of document is it as I'm wondering if it is related to PDF page generation settings maybe?  Is it abnormally large? Could also try importing as a different (or new) user and see if the same error occurs.

If it is an image or PDF you could try Snapshotting into the repository and exclude or replace it during the import, if that is practical to do.

I was able to determine by creation date which folders were completed by the import and stop it, remove the problem file, and restart with the rest of the folders.

This was a small image file, like a png, I can work on determining why it will not import on the side but I am more concerned with the rest of the data getting in at the moment. This just 1 file of billions.

Wish there was a way to continue import and report on failed imports, especially for a multi-week import job.

I'd second that too! I've lost many days doing a bulk import only for it to fail shortly after leaving the office or checking out for the evening, which is very frustrating and means it needs almost constant babysitting.
