Feature Request: Access to Payment Variables in a form

asked on October 24, 2024

I am working on a Forms process that takes an Authorize.net payment and have noticed that I am not able to use a lot of Payment variables that are available in Workflow and the Process Diagram, within a form.

For example, in the Forms Designer I only have access to the Payment Amount variable. In the Process Diagram you have access to the Payment gateway name, Payment gateway type, Merchant ID, Transaction ID, Payment transaction status, Currency, and Payment amount, which are essentially the same ones you have access to in Workflow.

Is it possible to get access to all of those payment variables to use in the Forms Designer, specifically when assigning a default value? In my use case I would like to be able to present to the next user task the Payment gateway name, Payment transaction status, and Transaction ID so they don't have to go look it up in Authroize.net and without having to kick off a workflow just to have it write back to the Forms instance.

I can check on this, but I think this may have been intentional. These "system variables" are not intended to be shown on the frontend maybe for compliance reasons? I will check on this though it is an odd discrepancy
