What determines the order of the tokens in the token dialog?

What order is workflow set to show tokens in the token dialog window? When I look at the tokens for one of my Retrieve Business Process Variable activities they seem to be in a random order. I was thinking they would be in alpha numerical order.

Hi Blake, 

When sort field tokens from "Retrieve Business Process Variable" activity, workflow will sort them with this order: 

  • Fields within different forms: group by forms first
  • Fields within the same form: sort by alpha numerical order
