You can access the Laserfiche Cloud Recommended Training or the Laserfiche 11 Recommended Training for this series in Aspire for FREE and can purchase the cost-associated Laserfiche Cloud Certification Assessment or the Laserfiche 11 Certification Assessment separately for $600.

 

Certification Description: 

This curriculum will help you prepare for the Certified Records Management in Laserfiche Cloud Certification Assessment. It included individual product courses bundled into relevant topics/series that can be taken at your own pace. This training will review how to manage record lifecycles from start to finish, and how to file, retain, transfer, and store records with Laserfiche to stay in compliance.

  • Users responsible for classifying records and implementing retention schedules

Getting Started with Laserfiche

  • Navigate the Repository and the best way to organize documents and folders
  • Identify the different annotations and tools available in the Document Viewer
  • Compare the different ways to import, export and share documents
  • Use search filters efficiently and navigate through the results
  • Collaborate with documents
  • Understand what entry access rights are and how to administer them in the repository 

 

Repository Administration in Laserfiche

  • Understand why and how to work with metadata in the repository to streamline tasks and organize documents
  • Create and configure metadata for your repository
  • Create a robust folder structure that can be maintained dynamically through automation tools
  • Create users and groups and configure basic security and access rights
  • Understand what entry access rights are and how to administer them in the repository
  • Configure repository specific settings for users and groups
  • Explore repository design strategies that best fit your organization

 

Repository Security

  • Identify the different repository security concepts, such as groups, inheritance, and scope
  • Summarize the differences between feature rights and privileges, identify their functionality, and administer them to users and groups
  • Describe what entry access rights are and how they interact with other rights, administer entry access rights for users and groups, and identify and apply the principles of scope
  • Determine the applicable security report to use depending on your use case, integrate field and template access rights according to your needs, summarize how security tags work and implement security tags as needed

 

Records Management in Laserfiche

  • Define what records management is and be able to identify each phase in the records management lifecycle
  • Understand the following records management concepts and terms: Cutoffs, Holds, Retention Schedules, Disposition Options
  • Translate retention schedules, create records management objects, and retain metadata from records
  • Use Quick Access View to find records eligible for cutoff and run advanced searches on records in your repository
  • Use Audit trail to provide reports on records management actions and generate reports on records in your repository
  • Use file plan to generate a list of the structure and rules that govern your records
  • Identify the ways Workflow can be used to automate records management and create a workflow to automate the setting of records management properties
