Scan dialog shows up, but scanning program doesn't start

So, one of my users got a new computer now when she tries to scan (I reinstalled desktop client with all of the programs needed including scanning), the dialogue shows up for basic or standard, but no matter which one we choose, the dialogue box just goes away and Laserfiche Scanning never starts.  Any suggestions?

Check in C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\Laserfiche Scanning\Errors. There may be a text file created at the time you tried to launch Laserfiche Scanning with an error message.

If you have Task Manager running when they try to launch Laserfiche Scanning, do you see LFScan.exe running?

Hello,

This may be a long shot, but I worked with someone who had gotten a new laptop, had everything installed, and was not able to scan in either mode.

First, we determined there was another scanning software installed (CaptureOneTouch v4).  We uninstalled that.

1. Reset user attributes in Laserfiche Admin Console
2. Exited Laserfiche and went back in.
3. Went to Standard Scanning mode.
4. Set up image processing settings again (added back one at a time and tested after each). 

Discovered that there was an issue when "Rotate" was used as one of the image processing selections.  Once that was removed, both scanning options were functional.

Hope there is something you can use here.

Do you not have OCR installed along with Laserfiche Scanning? Rotate needs OCR. It would appear in Programs and Features (aka, Installed Apps, formerly Add/Remove Programs) as "Laserfiche OCR with OmniPage 19.2".

For this particular agency OCR was not part of the image processing options they use for these documents.  They OCR after hours.  
I will have her check to see if that was installed on her laptop as well.  If not, we can install it and add rotate back.
