Feature Request: Option to Pop Out Email Body in Email Event

asked on September 26 Show version history

When editing the body of an email message in an Email Event, the box is stuck at the bottom right of the screen and makes it hard to edit, especially when you have a large message. It would be great if there was a pop out icon, that when clicked, would open the body of the email into a larger modal popup so it is easier to edit.

It would also be nice if when editing an email message for a user task if you could expand the message area. I know it will scroll as you type, but being able to grab the bottom corner of the message area to expand it would be very helpful to see more of the message at a time.

Hi Blake,

Thanks for the ideas, so there are two requests:

1. Supports editing the email body in a larger dialog by clicking some button for Email Service task

2. Support expanding the Email editor for User Task/Email Service Task instead of a fixed height

From my view, 1: the whole right pane on Email Service Task is the editor for it, so it can be a waste of resources if we add a secondary editor. 2: The rich text editor is a div element, where expandable input box usually use textarea element, it can be some effort for us to make it expandable, and test the functionalities. But these two requests are interesting that let us think how users like to use Forms and what produces inconvenience.

Let's wait to see if more users are interested in these features.

Thanks!
