Issue with Auto-Fill Button Causing Blank Pages in Saved Repository Document

asked on August 12

Hello!

I am experiencing an issue with a Laserfiche Form where an auto-fill button, created by a lookup rule with two conditions, is causing the form to save as blank pages in the repository. The form works correctly in terms of pulling data and populating fields within a collection. However, when the form is saved to the repository with the auto-fill button enabled, the resulting document only contains the history of actions and no other data—essentially just blank pages.

Here are some details:

When the auto-fill button is disabled, the form saves correctly to the repository with all data and fields intact.
When the auto-fill button is enabled, the form saves as blank pages with only the action history included.
The issue occurs consistently whenever the auto-fill button is used.
I’ve reviewed the lookup rule and the configuration of the 'Save to Repository' task, and everything appears to be set up correctly. Could you please assist me in resolving this issue?

Thank you for your help.

Final update regarding this issue.

The problem has been resolved by updating Laserfiche to the latest version of version 11. After the update, the form now saves correctly with all data and fields intact, even when the auto-fill button is used.

Hello!

I wanted to provide an update regarding the issue I was experiencing with the auto-fill button causing the form to save as blank pages in the repository.

I discovered that even when the "Show auto fill button" checkbox is unchecked, the button is still present but hidden. By clicking on the spot where the button would normally appear, the auto-fill functionality still works.

To address this, I used CSS to style the field containing the hidden button, turning it into a button-like shape (see attached CSS code). Now, when you click on this "button," the auto-fill functionality is triggered, and the document saved to the repository includes all the necessary information, avoiding the blank page issue.

I hope this helps anyone facing a similar problem!

Thank you.
