System Default Time Zone in Laserfiche Cloud

posted on August 7, 2024

Hi,

I wanted to report the system time zone selected isn't truly reflecting in users' accounts.
In the settings I have EST set. But I've had users whose accounts reflected Pacific time. Going into Account Administration -> edit a user, it reflects "correctly" but it truly doesn't on the user's side. I have to change it to a different time zone and then change back to EST for it reflect.

Has anyone run into this issue? Our business processes have the wrong start and due time.

I see the fix was done for Canada?

Hi Miruna,

The second screenshot is a snippet of tasks in the My Team Task page. We have business processes scheduled to start every day at 12am. The second screenshot shows the BP was started at 9pm and due at 8:59pm the next day, which is incorrect. What makes them wrong is EST is set in the settings but it's defaulting to PST for users. Yes, they are off our current time by 3 hours.

Can you check the work schedule associated with the business process, please? What time zone is it set to?

Here's the snippet of the workflow's starting events tab:

I just wanted to report this is still happening. The general setting time zone is set to EST. I still have to go into each user's account and set it to EST as well.

Solution: My resolution was to edit every single account. I then reverted one to the System time and it was showing EST correctly. I am assuming there was something cached.

What is the second screenshot? The list of business process instances returned by a search on the Monitor page under Business Processes?

What makes them wrong? Are they off from your current time? If yes, by how many hours?
