Question

Is it safe to hide the HTTP headers on Laserfiche web applications?

asked on July 25

We have a customer interested in hiding what software and operating system the Laserfiche web services are running on from the public. This is in the HTTP headers so it would involve turning off the headers (an option in IIS) for all the public websites like /Forms and /Laserfiche. Does anyone know if this will cause a problem? First time I have been asked about doing this.

This will not cause a problem. It is actually recommended that you remove headers that would reveal the type of web server, version or OS as a security measure.
