Laserfiche Forms

We have an external and internal URL for Laserfiche forms. Can someone explain to me the difference between the two forms in relation to security, access, and features.

Typically the external link is public facing, meaning it's accessible outside of your network. You may also not need to log in to submit forms. 

 

Whereas the internal link is only accessible within your organization's network and requires a log in.

Another difference will depend on your setup and licensing.

If you're hosting two separate instances of Forms rather than using a reverse proxy to a single server, then it is also common for the Public Portal license to be assigned to the public-facing instance meaning:

  1. Only one URL would support Anonymous submissions
  2. The URL with that license would need to be used to change a process from Restricted (requiring login) to Public (allowing anonymous)
